Description:
Dive into the world of theatre this summer and put on a play with FRT’s summer youth workshop! Open to ages 8 – 17 (see groups below). Whether you’re drawn to the spotlight or curious about the magic behind the scenes, this workshop has something for everyone. The session culminates in a public performance featuring both groups on Friday, July 26 at 2 PM.

Group A — Ages 8 to 12
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Group B — Ages 13 to 17
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Final Day Schedule:
- Both groups meet at 9:00 AM on July 26
- Public Performance is at 2:00 PM
- Celebration: Pizza, cake, and awards following the performance.
What to Expect:
- Start each day with warm-ups and theatre games.
- Engage in hands-on learning with our “topic of the day.” Topics include costume and scenic design, prop building, lighting, directing, and more!
- Collaborate on our play! Each group will craft a unique performance that showcases the scenes, songs, and tech elements they’ve learned.
