The Marilyn McCormick Performing Arts Scholarship
Ferndale Repertory Theatre invites applications for its annual $1000 scholarship award. The award is given each year to a Humboldt County High School Senior interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts including music, drama, dance, physical theatre, theatrical design and technical theatre. The very first award winner was local songwriter Sara Bareilles.
Ferndale Repertory Theatre is committed to providing theatrical opportunities to the youth in our county. Our dedication to this area of community service includes summer workshops for youth, special school matinees and the opportunity for youth to participate in theatre productions as technical support, performers and musicians.
All applicants must:
- Humboldt County Graduating High School Senior
- GPA of 3.0 of higher
- Have expressed a continuing desire to have a career in the performing arts
- Demonstrates participation in High School arts programs, community theatre involvement or similar activities
